A woman from Ochlawaha was convicted for firing shots and killing a man she thought stole from him in the past, reported the Sheriff of Marion County.
The shooting took place at Highway 314A, block 3200 which is situated 3 miles south of Highway 40 and 9 miles east of Highway 35. The deputies reported at the location in response to the fires shot.
At the location, a man with a bullet wound was found lying near the roadway in agony in need of immediate help. Upon investigation, the man was identified as Michael Hofacker, who was 39 years of age. Hofacker was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center right away. The victim lost his life on Sunday because of the deep wound and injury.
The woman who shot the innocent man was 41 years old, Jennifer Hill, who thought that the fellow man, Hofacker had robbed her a while back. She realized that he was not the guy she thought he was, but until then, she had already shot him. The deputies reported that there were no witnesses or evidence to Hill’s statement.
Hill is currently imprisoned at Marion County jail without a bond and is sentenced with second-degree murder.
