A Harvard Freshman student was deported because of his friend’s social media post

A Harvard freshman student from has been refused entry to the United States by Border agents.

Ismail B Ajjawi said in a written statement, after arriving at the port of entry he was subject to “random check” and his cell phone was confiscated. The ICE agents found evidence of Islamic radicalism and provocation of terrorism in his social media. But it turned out, the posts were made my one of his online social media friend in Facebook.

The Harvard freshman said, after coming in the Boston airport, he was detained and questioned for hours and then his student visa was cancelled and he was deported back to Palestine. The CBP spokesperson issued a statement claiming after thorough inspection the student was found deemed inadmissible.
